Time to Clip Clip

Before all the men start to run in fear I dont mean that kind of clip clip! I mean its time to cut hair! You know its time when you hear your husband in the bathroom saying "STAY! STAY! SIT! I SAID SIT! LAY DOWN!" Now I know our dog, Bandit, isnt in there. He knows not to be in our room, nevermind the bathroom when daddy is around. So I know he wasn't talking to him. I went on an investigation to see what exactly would cause my husband to demand such obedience of something in the bathroom. Upon further investigation I found he was having a fight with his hair. Apparently it was being very disobedient this morning. My husband finally gave me "the look" and said "its time!" LOL! "Ok Ok Ok I will cut your hair tonight if you remind me." His response? " I dont know why you need reminding. The minute I walk in the door and you see this(pointing to his hair)should remind you enough!" So tonight I will have to save my hubby from the evil hair monster growing on his head. Poor Fella!

Now for a moment of inspiration. I recently discovered this song and I know its not a "new song" But it really spoke to me and really has had my attention the past few days and I just want share the part that really gets me. Its from my all time favorite Christian Group "Casting Crowns"

In the arms of your mercy I find rest
Cause you know just how far the East is from the West
From one scar[r]ed hand to the other

This song really gives me peace. I really like the above lines. Its amazing how it touches you when you think about being in God's arms and finding rest. I dont know about you but there are alot of times in my life where motherhood keeps me busy and hectic. And there are just times I want to stop, rest and feel renewed. How I long to fall into the arms of God and for him to give me the rest I need to be a better mother and wife. And this song really helps me to feel that. Just the thought of falling into his arms and being in his safe embrace is healing! Plus I like the picture it draws to show the depth of God's love for us and how when he forgives our sins that they are gone for good and we are the only ones who can bring them back to haunt us. God has forgotten them! How cool is that! I have battled forgiving myself of things that really hurt. God kept telling me I am free now and I just wasnt letting myself receive the blessing. It has taken time but the guilt I feel is gone. And I truly am free of that bondage. I will post the whole song lyrics so you can get the whole blessing from it. If you havent heard it you really should hear it. Its beautiful.

EAST TO WEST by Casting Crowns

Here I am Lord and I'm drowning
In your sea of forgetfulness
The chains of yesterday surround me
I yearn for peace and rest
I don't want to end up where you found me
And it echoes in my mind
Keeps me awake tonight

I know you've cast my sins as far
As the East is from the West
And I stand before you now
As though I've never sinned but today
I feel like I'm just one mistake away
From you leaving me this way

Jesus can you show me
Just how far the East is from the West
Cause I can't bear to see the man I've been
Come rising up in me again
In the arms of your mercy I find rest
Cause you know just how far the East is from the West
From one scar[r]ed hand to the other

I start the day the war begins
Endless reminding of my sin
Time and time again
Your [T]ruth is drowned out by the storm I'm in
Today I feel like I'm just one mistake away
From you leaving me this way

Jesus can you show me
Just how far the East is from the West
Cause I can't bear to see the man I've been
Come rising up in me again
In the arms of your mercy I find rest
Cause you know just how far the East is from the West
From one scar[r]ed hand to the other

I know you've washed me white
Turned my darkness into light
I need your peace to get me through
To get me through this night
I can't live by what I feel
But by the truth your word reveals
I'm not holding on to you
But your holding on to me
Your holding on to me

Jesus, you know just how far
The East is from the West
I don't have to see the man I've been
Come rising up in me again
In the arms of your mercy I find rest
(The arms of your mercy I find rest)
Cause you know just how far the East is from the West
From one scar[r]ed hand to the other(x2)

(Just how far, the East is from the West) (x3)

From one scarred hand to the other
